Old mprj files

I use to play around with music in the past but had to put it down. On my old external hard drive I had some really great ideas I saved on the old Maschine 2 software. Now that I'm trying to upgrade a lot of old software, I would like to continue to finish some those old projects. I initially saved my projects on an old mac mini and external hard drive, MacOS High Sierra: version 10.13.6. Now when I connect my old external hard drive to the old mac mini, those projects show up as mprj files, but when I connect that same external hard drive to my newer mac it shows those same files as a document. If its possible, how do I fix this?

    .mprj is the file-extension for Maschine projects, you will need to install Maschine SW on your newer Mac to be able to open them. Use Native Access.
