Why is installing Native Access 2 & 3 so Incredibly Difficult?
Hello, I purchased Komplete 14 Standard last year. I'm SO frustrated
trying to install Native Access 2.0 Same old error
"NI Native access download error grant permission on dependencies"
Now, I've lost Native Access 1.4. I can't believe this is even a thing.
I've wasted hours trying to understand what I'm doing wrong.
Using Windows 10. Thank you in advance for any advice.

I too am frustrated with NI and their NA tool - this is the fourth time in the past year I've had to search for 'fixes' online for a failed self-update. Like a fool, I just accepted the latest self-update from a fully-working Native Access ... and now it's FUBAR'd! "Please grant permission to native access to install dependencies."
Given the number of issues I've found searching for fixes for this fault (outside of the 'official' NI one involving an NTK Daemon update - which itself also didn't work) I cannot believe that this NA update is still being offered. It's clearly faulty and should've been pulled.
What is it with the lack of customer centricity from NI and some music tech companies?
I don't want to be their ICT Tech Support or beta tester - I was paid do do that 25 years ago and have since moved on(!) - I am a musician who wants to compose, play and produce, not spend (quite literally) hours fixing other developers' faulty and naïve code!
NI, please get your act together WRT Native Access updates!

Unfortunately it is problem like this I see users in other forums exploring moving away from NI and these are primarily Kontakt users. Sometimes a developers eco system can turn people off.
People with more recent systems may not have these issues.
IK Product Manger, VSL, and others seem to have no issues.
Once they get it right hopefully get it right for a majority of users they won't tinker with it. Unfortunately it seems to many companies like to tinker with their distribution app. Steinberg and VSL do it all of the time but those seem to be flawless.
There is this fear of updating NI software and you can't roll back unless you use System Restore or drive imaging.
The failures in distribution is frustrating. Other than that everything else is fine. What I don't like about it is I may throw the baby out with the bathwater and put NI software on my blacklist.
NTKDaemon was not fixed despite saying so.

SteveECrane, Wassup thank you for your comments. I thought it was just me. I just want to D/L all the cool stuff but Uhh No...Ehh I just want to play! not hassle HOURS to get this to work. I'm very disappointed at the lack of Native Instruments to correct such an simple, easy thing. Cheers~
