can someone help me step by step in using the broadcast feature? found one tube video, didn't work

so I kinda wanna have audio from traktor as url that I can maybe connect to a stream as web source. I just don't know how. settings page doesn't seem too complicated, but without troubleshooting I can't get it to work.

You need some kind of server that you can stream to. An "icecast" compatible one.

You can search for "Icecast hosting" and I'm sure you can find something. Once you got one you need to enter the URL given to you by the hosting company into traktor settings.

I stream myself to twitch to share with friends. But for that you need 3rd party software like OBS. Streaming to youtube is also possible.

I use twitch with obs too, but I'd like to skip the useless computer between my stream and camera. Phone should be enough in theory, but I can't figure out how to get sound in without mic in. broadcasting was just one thing that came to my mind.

I've also looked for options where the laptop I use for playing does the streaming, but then the sound routing and using 3rd party asio does magic for battery life. I like to dedicate laptop for djing only.

I stream from the same computer. I ended up with a cable from booth out into an line in on the s4 mk3 controller.

But yes, broadcast should be pretty simple. You just need a server to stream to.

phones don't have that luxury of line in I think. Then there's the app, that doesn't understand hardware inputs unless it's a mic.

If you want to stream from a phone, you could get something like an iRig Stream.

I have a sound card that works with my phone as an input, but app doesn't see it. kiiiinda don't wanna go through different devices, if they might just work. also, easier if I don't need any extra hardware.
