does someone know how to turn on and off the screen on a S4 MK3 controller? if we can do this it should stop the stuttering problem when using a S4 MK3 together with a D2. should stop the conflict

    Try this. It's the stock file (without any mods) that you will need to use instead of the original one. Make a safety copy of the original first.

    '...\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\CSI\S4MK3\S4MK3Side.qml'

    Make a safety copy of the whole folder named '...\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\'

    Open the file '..\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\CSI\S4MK3\S4MK3Side.qml'

    Go to line 123:

     Wire { from: "screen.output";  to: "%surface%.display" }

    Add '//' in front of it, so Traktor ignores it. It should now look like this:

     // Wire { from: "screen.output";  to: "%surface%.display" }

    Now the screens will not display anything. Not sure if this will make the D2s run more smoothly though.

    The s4 MK 2 doesn’t have a screen and doesn’t have any conflicts. If you use the d2 for remix decks it doesn't have any conflict. I’m going to try it to basically turn it into a mk3 board and see what happens. the only reason i got the mk3 was because it can be used as a stand alone mixer and the mk2 couldn't. Thank you

    Did you manage to switch off the screen? Has it improved the responsiveness of your setup?

    It's just a text file. Search the internet for a coding editor like notepad++ (don't know what you need for MAC), there really should be one to download for free.

    Did you place it exactly here? :

    '...\Native Instruments\Traktor Pro 3\Resources64\qml\CSI\S4MK3\S4MK3Side.qml'

    Also there is no need to restart you mac. After swapping the files, you just need to restart Traktor. It works on my end, showing 'Traktor' on the left screen and 'Kontrol S4' on the right.
