As for creating our own mappings, I am not that kind of person. I tried with the JAM… it’s tedious, boring, I am bad at it, and I refuse to spend more time trying to learn something I hate (just like coding).

I can only rely on the good people that like to do that kind of stuff and share on the internet, and tip them, or I can buy products that work straight out of the box, which is what I try to do nowadays.

Dont judge me, I did all that mapping shenanigans for Logic and the result was ****** compared to what was possible and I spent way too much time around it. I just enjoy playing music and I need stuff to work straight out of the box, cause all those technical things are psychological painful to me.

Will they launch a Mk2? I would have thought they would after they launched the Maschine+ , but now I don’t think they will because AKAI already filled the gap with their new APC64 which has a lot more to offer including connectivity options,

NI did not intend to integrate M+ and Jam, at first. It was the demand from users that made it happen. And the leak by NI technician showing that NI has work of proof that it is possible, just managers decided no Jam integration in M+ before it was completed. NI even made Jam EOL few weeks before M+ launch. Probably to justify not integration of Jam to M+....

There is not much hope for Jam Mk2, NI has stated many times at this forum that nothing like it is planned...

IMHO Jam was advertised and marketed mainly for DJing.... All Jams that I bought secondhand were almost untouched.

i watched that video... after i had downloaded the editor to check if more than note values could be assigned to pads...and loopops video showed exactly what i saw in the editor...

but you could confirm this... as you are a proud owner of the APC64 unit

😂 I am not an owner of the APC64, where did i say i was?

like i previously said, geeking around with coding and midi mappings is not my cup of tea. I just pointed out that pads currently do more than just being notes out of the box. Whether you can program that in the editor or not, I have no idea.

Same, I have 3 and they all look relatively new. I do love the faders though, if it had knobs it could replace my S61 MK3 😂

Seriously, great hardware device (if someone maps it properly for me lol).
