so my new komplete kontrol usb gets really hot and my computer will not recognize it. kontrol unit boots up and shuts down before i get an error. Using the original cable only.
Sounds like a possible fault to me. What exactly is getting hot? The USB port on the keyboard, the end of the USB going into your computer or the whole cable? In any case, none of these are good and to save damaging your computer I'd not be connecting it.
I'd be returning it for an exchange.
