This has just happened to me now… Battery is un-usable - I've tried everything that has been suggested (trashing prefs, re-installing Battery & Battery Factory Library). This is Kafka-esque - why don't Native Instruments ever fix stuff?

@Jeremy_NI what can I do please?

Thanks to all who have tried to move this forward, but as OP, even I have to admit you may just have to accept this may never be fixed and now look at alternatives (not saying this is fair at all)

Further, maybe @Jeremy_NI doesn't even know, or cannot share status any more on this issue, which by now is well over a year old.

That's a joke. Two years old bug with a "workaround". @Jeremy_NI please, read my way of using Battery and do agree with me that the workaround is impossible to use.

I've chosen the Battery for playing backing tracks during live concerts - one instance for the click and one for the cue samples. I also have separate projects for each song. (All songs are opened in separate tabs.) So if I have 15 songs in the concert, I have 30 Battery instances. If I have 30 songs - that's 60 instances. I need that workflow to optimize CPU/memory-use for other VST instruments and also to make it easier to change the song order.

I have a Windows computer in the studio (where I prepare the tracks) and a Mac laptop for the gig. I CAN'T have identical paths, because a Windows has drive letters - C:\Users\username\Desktop\path-to-files\file.wav, and a Mac has linux-style paths - /Users/username/Desktop/path-to-files/file.wav.

Please, imagine how it feels to reload 30 VST instruments pointing the new paths. But even if it is just a small waste of time - please tell me what to do with the automation I use in these Battery instances (the automation is deleted when the Battery VSTi is removed). Should I copy it somewhere and then move it back?

Anytime I want to change anything in the projects, I need to "Please repeat these steps for each Battery track in your DAW project." That's the quickest solution for me to stop using Battery.
