Deleting playlist does not delete the files. Is that what you want?
And I assume we are talking about Traktor Pro 3?
You have to right click one or multiple tracks -> delete from collection -> check [x] additionally delete file(s) from hard drive

No traktor 2
I delete the playlists but I'm not single going through over 100 tracks to delete. That's just madness.
Why is there not a wholesale delete feature?
I've even deleted the whole programme and everything in the back end from my laptop and they're even there after a fresh install.
This is pathetic.

Just go in your music folder and delete them manually. Of course if the files are still in your computer, Traktor will find them, again and again, no matter if you do re-install/delete, a million times. It is more than obvious!
100 tracks is not a big deal and definitely is not a "madness". It is just a 2 minute work, maximum.
I am dealing with 13.000 tracks without any problem...

well thats silly . Should be able to delete playlist and go again. I run them off a HD so always swapping into different folders but it still keeps them
Guess ill have to find something else to satisfy my needs

Just to add a bit more which makes it difficult in that when you do change a file path the tracks are stored in when you go into the ;Tracks ' section its full of dead links. Ive noticed theres way more than 1000 + in there which im not going to go through to delete one by one.
there needs to be a multi delet function. its proper ****** system and way of working

Why don't you delete your music from your operating system in File Explorer like any normal person would?

Traktor 2 Pro or Traktor Dj 2?
In Traktor 2 Pro you should be able to just ctrl + a to select everything, then right click them.

"silly"...? or just ignorance dude?
Anyone with a minimum knowledge knows very well that playlists are just info files... they do not contain your music. Not just in Traktor but everywhere. VLC Player, Windows Media Player, Foobar2000, AIMP, and on every audio player. It's a "standard" in the audio world.
Still.... you could easily delete all those tracks from your playlists if, instead of deleting the playlist, did as @lord carlos wrote: select multiple tracks -> choose: delete from collection -> then check [x] additionally delete file(s) from hard drive. After that, you could easily delete the empty playlist. This is the way things work.
Btw, it is not a shame to not know something, we all were ignorant when we started... but in this case... eh, read the manual at least and don't assume that because you thought of something or want something, this will be done.
Is exactly the same as, when you drive a car, you start with the 1st gear, not with the 4th, or, when you make pizza you have to put it in the oven... if you put it in the fridge it won't be cooked, no matter how much you want it or you believed that it should worked! ...as i said, things working on specific ways. ;-)
