Stream with OBS

Ok oops. My brain read s4mk3 not s2mk3. Lol

The s2mk3 still has a 1/8 master out? That could be connected to a separate computer with the UCA222 for a streaming setup. I really think that is the best way to stream. Less strain on cpu and no driver conflict. Since OBS is just using audio in from the Uca222. A streaming computer doesn't need to be very good.

But when using only master out since booth isn't available, a person would need to adjust the master out volume for the recording then adjust the volume of speakers in the room with the that system and never touch the master out.

My point is to get Traktor and audio out working on the Dj only computer. And then route audio via RCA or the 1/8. That should have no issues with drivers.

Thank you very much, I have given up,

SK2MK3 is not shown anywhere. or is it unsuitable for this... "This software would be very good if it were good."

I have absolutely live-streamed a set using an S2 MK3 with a separate MacBook running OBS. Why do you think it is not possible?

Yeah. I get that some people route the stream and the Dj computer on the same laptop. And I have done it before. But even then I routed from the controller back into the laptop input.

I never tried to route the Traktor audio soundcard back through via a driver.

The only controller I ever saw show up for audio in Audacity was the S8. The S8 actually showed Master out for recording in Audacity. But I believe the S8 had an extra audio card or something none of the other controllers had.

It is best to just get your Dj laptop working with a controller. Then use audio out (analog to digital via a cheap soundcard) to a computer to stream on.

The laptop is running Windows 10 Pro and is a very old device with very little knowledge (that's it.)

I was thinking about Mixcloud on my otherwise powerful PC machine, I'm doing a live show with OBS. I have the basic card: realtek sound. And the UCA222 usb sound card. I couldn't get these to work with the SK2MK3 driver. i use the NI PC AISO because it doesn't crash on this PC. I added the ASIO Plugin to OBS.

I set up the sk2mk3 WDM (shared). there was sound but everything could be heard. including the headphone output. This is the full version..

    I could not solve this.

Can you get a laptop running Traktor with s2mk3 Asio? Skip trying to route or run Obs on it at all.

My laptop, only good for the net with Traktor, is a bit laggy.

The Traktor Master is being exported to UCA222. Why can't you hear it in the OBS Studio?

Did you add the UCA in traktor?

    :)

If I add it, I can't use my controller, or worse, blue death.

Ah sorry. I misspoke. I meant did you add the UCA in OBS?

Best bet is to talk to OBS discord. They have good support there.

    I think I am confused.

Are you trying to run the uca222 on the same computer while using Traktor and the S2 driver?

And run Obs on that same computer? If it isn't a very powerful computer that is a huge amount of audio processing and possible conflicts. The main one being that it might introduce bad Dpc Latency spikes and freezing issues with Traktor. Maybe this is also the blue screen issue?

I also am not sure, but I seem to remember only being able to run one external audio card at a time when using a controller and Traktor.

Your best setup is to record to a separate computer. Use the powerful computer for Traktor and the less powerful for the recording or broadcast with OBS.

The S2 has a 1/8 out by the master RCA outs. You should be able to get an adapter to go to the UCA222 RCA inputs and connect that to the separate broadcast computer running OBS. Not to the same computer as Traktor.

I don't know what plugin you are referring to for OBS. We only run a limiter stock plugin and a plugin called Loudness Penalty meter in OBS.

If the master out on the S2 is the only audio out you will need to adjust it to not have any distortion for broadcast so you would use your home stereo system for the volume in the room.

Using a separate computer for broadcast also allows you to setup multiple cameras and do a lot without the extra devices causing any issues with Traktor. We run 3 cameras. Broadcast to 3 separate streaming platforms and also save a recording to the broadcast computer. That computer is about a $500 computer.

Traktor normally does not care what you do with other interfaces in other programs. It can only connect to one at a time though, but that does not matter for his usecase.

    He should hear something though.

I run multiple cameras, audio plugins, overlays, track id thing, and traktor all on a business notebook. Easy 👏 But yes ideally two are better but it's not like OBS needs a lot when you use GPU encoding.

You're fantastic, thank you. but I'm confused too.

My PC can play all the big games and more. I use Atlas-OS version 0.3.2 specifically for Traktor and OBS. With less delay. And with DHCP disabled.

the Plugin for OBS: obs-asio v3.2.0 (Github)

If I feel like it, I'll record the whole thing and show it to you, but I'm really tired of it!

Otherwise, I would be happy if the Tractor would finally be bug-free, without any extras, even.

    Thanks again
