Serial keys?

I am moving to the MK3 from the studio version and wanted to know how to properly setup/remove the serials.

I purchased the 2.0 software a long time ago for the studio and assume the mk3(still waiting for it to get here) will have its own serial auth number?

So, do I transfer the serial from the original 2.0 purchase and include it with the studio (selling it) and setup the MK3 serial? I realize I may have answered my own question but wanted to make sure before doing anything.
