Velocity pads not responding to touch

Just bought a brand new mk3 and the drum pads 1-16 do not respond to touch. They light up and I can load sounds onto them however when I touch them nothing happens. Every other button or knob responds except the pads 1-16 where sounds would be loaded onto. Any tips on how to resolve this?

Maybe the Group or pads are muted, although unlikely if new? Maybe your headphones or speakers aren't set up, or the volume turned up?
