Abbey Road 60s drums mix issue

Hi everyone

Just wondering if anyone else is using this kit and picking up this issue. I've got a TON of bleed on the snare "close mic". In fact, it doesn't sound like a close mic at all - it sounds like a mix. If I solo the close mic, and use snare FX preset C I'm hearing snare, toms and kick all at the same level.

I'm sure this is a glitch/bug. Unless snares in the 60s at Abbey Road were "close" mic'd with a cardiod large diaphragm at 40cm away and this is the authentic sound? Solo toms, hats, kick are all very clean. Am I doing something wrong? Haven't used these kits before.

Cheers

If you want less of the ST/M/Room OH mix, go into the <Mixer> section <Settings> and reduce the "Bleed" level, and then trim the OH & Room mics. That is about the best that can be done.

Very few drums are sampled in a completely "dry" mode anymore.
