Kontakt and Komplete Kontrol difference

Hi everyone!
I´m new here, and learning, so I have to ask some basics.
Does it just depend on my personal preference if I use Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol for example to program some sounds in Ableton Live, or are those two applications complete different in their function?
Thank you in advance!

I had the same question a week or so ago.
I think KK is basically like a librarian, and let's you use tags to sort things. I believe it's also the thing that contains all the default controller mappings for the encoders on a KK keyboard.
When you use instruments in KK, it's basically Kontact running inside.
You can click one of the menu buttons and it opens out.
I don't have a KK keyboard, so on that basis I've personally been using Kontact not KK.

Here's some others probably describing it more accurately than me...
