found old komplete hard drives..can i format and reuse these and still keep my komplete 14 ultimate?

ive found aload of old komplete hard dries and cd folders used to update each previous edition..

im currently on komplete 14 ulitimate colltors edition and that no longer comes on hard drives or dvds its download only so i was wondering if its ok to format the old hard drives too use for samples or kontake libaries.

in the case of the komplete dvds/cds what use are these now?there taking uo lots of room in my studio and storage and if there of no use what do other people do with them?are they ok to throw away or if i sell them would that mean i lose that update liscence?

@djwaxxy AFAIK these drives are not intended for storage like an external hard drive, not sure if you can use them for that. What you do with the drive will not affect your products or licenses, these are tied to your NI account.

Pretty sure the licence isn't tied to any of the disks that Komplete used to ship on. I've had Komplete since about V5 and I have no idea where the media is now. The only one I have is K12 which I think was the last version that shipped on a hard drive. Most times now I install via download and just leave it doing it's thing overnight.

ive been updating since about k6 so as you can imagine theres a load of boxs..:)

i found them in the attic i put them up there years ago and discovered them again when i was moving.i had to move them to a storage unit in a hurry and now weve started sifting through the boxs thats when ive discovered loads of my old software boxs..some are huge and theres only 1 cd in the boxs with a few books but like you say now everything is online and for many years the komplete updates have been online only ,i was just asking in case theres software or presets on the dvds/cds/hard drives which i would need in the future or if theres any missing which are not on the newest updates.

There are some old products that aren't in the latest Komplete, things like the B4 organ etc. Probably all unsupported now though so unlikely to be usable!
