Why is Noire asking that I upgrade Kontakt?

I have the latest 6.8.0, but upon trying to open Noire, I get a message saying my Kontakt version is too old. All my other libraries seem to be opening fine. The only factor I think might be related to the problem is that I was recently forced to upgrade to Sonoma OS from Monterey. There is an apple bug that caused my M1 MacBook Pro to lock up when I chose to update Monterey for some security update. I had to take my MBP to the Apple Store where they could only revive it with an install of Sonoma. I was going to attempt to downgrade back to Monterey, but that proved SO complicated and time consuming that I could not do it. Most everything is working now, but Noire not launching! I really need it!! Any ideas?

Sonoma is indeed not officially supported yet.

However, several Kontakt libraries got updated recently, so that they can take more advantage of the new MK3 keyboard functionalities. Unfortunately, that came with the downside of them now requiring Kontakt 7.6. If your Noire version number says "1.2.0", then you have the new 7.6 version installed.

You can download an older version of Noire (and other libraries) below:

Thanks...is it necessary to uninstall the 1.2.0 version, from within Native Access 2, before running the installer for 1.1? That also brings up another question regarding whether I need to use Native Access 1, but I would assume 2 is ok.

Update: I didn't uninstall...just ran the installer for the older version and it seems to have worked. Launching my daw project now...fingers crossed that it's ok and nothing else is messed up.

Using Native Access 2 is fine and recommended since the legacy version is no longer supported.

Is everything as it should be? 🙂
