STEP mode event default pitch

Hi) Let's say I work as follows:

1) Load the required instrument from BROWSER

2) I try to play in KEYBOARD mode and when I realise that the preset suits me, I switch to STEP mode.

3) I arrange notes (event) in STEP mode

Problem: why do the notes pitch always default C3 and not the note I pressed last in KEYBOARD mode?

Correct me or point me out if I'm wrong, can't I make it memorise that note?

As far as I know, this is how it is working. Step mode enters the note of the pad (not the keyboard mode). If you want to have different pitch on the different steps, you have to edit it afterwards.

Here is an example on how to do it from 6:13 (it’s using the Maschine Studio, but the concept is the same for others)
