Maschine Mk II Hardware can't be installed

EarthLink Member Posts: 2 Newcomer

Hi there!

I bought a Maschine MkII hardware on ebay a few years ago. It worked perfectly on my PC after mk I. Then I upgraded again via ebay, the Mk III is running fine as well.

Now I gave the old Mk II to a friend where it unfortunately can't be installed even as a controller for FL Studio. It wants to be deregistered first, but doesn't even show up on my product list. There I can only find my first Maschine Mikro Mk I that doesn't even exist anymore. If I start going the way to unregister the micro it almost seems it takes away my own license I'm working with.

Does anybody know a solution for this or is there any phone hotline at NI ?!

Thanks for help, V.

I'm not sure, but if he wants it for FL Studio, he just needs to use it as a normal midi controller, no?

I don't think you need to register anything. But I have not tested it.

The person you bought it from ebay probably still has the original license. And you used it with the mk1 license so you never needed it. Not much you can do.

    Thanks Carlos!

I sent the Link to my friend, he'll test it.

But I wonder what would happen if I unregister the Micro.

My Mk III is registered seperatly, the software update as well.

Could I even lose something by removing the Micro ?!

I'm not sure, but I guess you could start a transfer for the micro, get a tranfer license key and give that to your friend. Then he will be able to use Maschine software. At least that is my understanding.

But if he wants to use it in FL Studio he will not gain anything.
