Tidal not allowing stem separation for streamed tracks

It's gradually being implemented. First affected was Denon DJ's hardware separation on the Prime 4+ with beta testers finding separation not possible with Tidal.
Next to follow was Pioneer with their latest update to Rekordbox.
Now VirtualDJ has been updated with the same restriction.
Could this mean we see this brought in across all streaming services?
