Kontakt 7.6 - always opens in old Libraries view?

I just updated to Kontakt 7.6 and it always opens in the pre-7.x "instrument rack" view. It is not remembering the state of showing the newer v7 search browser.

So every time I open a new instance, I need to click the little book icon next to the Kontakt logo.

I read the release notes but it sounds like remembering the last view was intended to be improved?

Is anyone else seeing this too?

In the plugin you can do this now:

So do it :) Set Kontakt's view settings (virtual keyboard, single/rack view, side pane visibility, etc.) and then store it as default with this option.

Note that these visibility settings are now stored per instance from now on, this is one of the bullet points in K7.6 changelog.

The option is very explicit. It tells that the fullscreen browser will be shown (or not) if a newly launched instance is set to Rack View by default. It will ALWAYS show on instantiation of a Kontakt instance that is set to Single View by default.

Unfortunately there is still no "fullscreen" browser available yet in Kontakt 7, especially when speaking about the "Rack View" which cannot be made bigger, even if trying to do so manually. But regardless which of the two views, for whatever reason there is still a grayed-out "maximize window" visible in the top menu. If finally implemented by NI, it would allow users to have a "real fullscreen" experience, as the complete available monitor space could be utilized, even when using small zoom factors. I guess misunderstandings already start at this point, as the term "fullscreen" in conjunction with Kontakt 7 is currently misleading.

"Fullscreen" is a slight misnomer, true. What I meant was the new browser introduced in K7 that acts as an overlay.

I saw that new field in option tab which is not even in the online Manual, though I tried to understand its behavior but I didn't
