KK S-88 MK3 paired with Mashine MK3 accessibility - would a DAW controller be overkill?

Hi community, I am purchasing a S-88 MK3 and a Machine MK3 to use on a Mac Studio and Logic Pro. I've been using a Behringer XTouch for years and am thinking of upgrading to a SSL UF8. Would this be overkill as far as accessibility and workflow goes? I'm an old schooler and really like the feel of real knobs and faders, and the UF8 looks like a great piece for that, but will it let me do things the combo of the S-88 and Mashine won't? At first thought I'm thinking so since I can customize different plugins to empty user banks on the UF8, but on the other hand I'm new to the whole KK, Mashine and NKS eco system and really don't know its full power or capabilities. any thoughts on this is appreciated.

Sorry about that, could a moderator move this to the KK forum? My screen reader didn't read the category dropdown correctly

@ChipMcCain Moved it to the Komplete Kontrol section. I never used a UF8 so I can't really help here, hopefully some other users out there can share their experience or thoughts!

So you have an Xtouch at the moment, just curious what the appeal if of the UF8 as an upgrade?

I don't use Logic but do use a Komplete Kontrol keyboard along with Push and also a Mackie MCU. I've had the MCU for almost 20 years since I am like you and just like the physical feel of the faders for track control and I love the transport and jog wheels on it.

Probably like Logic it can be used pretty effectively allowing control of things separate to what Push is doing and separate from what my KK keyboard is doing.

I find the use of the faders better for riding volume and adjusting tracks by feel without looking at the screen while the KK keyboard allows me to adjust things while composing since I have a draw pulled out and it's a bit of a stretch.

I'd say it wouldn't be overkill at all if you feel you have a need but just curious what the differences are over the Xtouch since that seems like a nice option already, I love my MCU but it is a damn big unit.
