S4 MK 3 Haptic not spinning

So I bought a S4 MK3 and noticed than when you turn it on the left Jog spins slightly but the Right doesn't

Upon loading tracks, the left side works magnificently in all modes. Jog / TT (spins) and Grid. Unfortunately I cant say the same for the right side, Jog works but when selecting TT (spinny) it wont do anything.

The tracks load and if you spin the wheel by hand it will play the track to the speed of hand movement ( bit like a turntable DJ putting the needle on the record and pushing it forward without the motor being turned on)

I've tried to reinstall PRO 3 and running to most up to date version. I've also san the S4 updater and its running the newest firm wear

to me it sounds like a motor issue.

anyone had a similar issue

Was it new or second hand? Sounds like a faulty drive unit to me so i'd probably send it back if engaging the spin doesn't work.
