Native Instruments Apple Silicon M1 Compatibility

What we published already is already a rough estimate. No release dates to share at the moment. The next updates should be Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.

Update: Massive now offers a native Apple Silicon support. More to come in the next few weeks!

Great, thanks!

I noticed that Massive's Apple Silicon update didn't bring its new icon. I hope this will come in a later update, and that all future AS-compatibility updates will include a new icon.
Native Access 2 and Kontakt 7 already did when they were updated, so having the same sized icons would look more consistent.

Sigh. I already plunked my money down, as a past user (back to Komplete 2, with several upgrades.).
I bought new, after dodging several years...and I forgot how bad NI has been about supporting their original engines, while they try to force us all to ROMpler via Kontakt.
This is just good money after bad, until they fully support everything on M1 and 2.
Without a quick resolution, I'll just find other solutions. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Don't worry bubbajazz. With some luck, you'll be able to enjoy a full Apple Silicon native NI catalog a little bit before the end of the world...

It seems to have slipped quietly under the radar of this thread (and any others that I could find). But it appears that Machine 2 is now Apple Silicon Native as of today...
Odd that there wasn't some kind of announcement about this (that I could easily find). Good news anyhow.

Why specifically M1? We’re in Pro/Max/Ultra and M2 land already. Will we need to wait years per CPU point version upgrade, or is this a fluke?

This thread was started when the M1 was the only Apple Silicon Chip in desktops. I guess the thread title could do with an update to be more correct 'now' but it doesn't really matter unless people are being pedantic. It's Apple Silicon ready now, and yes, I expect that includes M2 as there is no specific reference to M1 specifically in the Maschine 2.16 release notes.

The latest Komplete Kontrol (and I can reasonably assume, Maschine as well) update didn't include the squircle icon later. I'd like to know my previous feedback was noted, @Jeremy_NI , thank you!

@SalientToucan I'm sorry but what feedback do you mean? I deal with quite a few posts in here so forgive me if I missed something.

@Jeremy_NI, I believe SalientToucan means this post.

@SalientToucan @Dalski Ok I see, I will forward the feature request then.

I do have a question - in the last 24 hours (on the compatibility M1 / M2 page https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/de/articles/360014683497 ) there was a change in the bottom half:
KOMPLETE AUDIO 1 / 2 / 6 MK2
KOMPLETE AUDIO 6 MK1
are both Apple silicon native now. Before only with Rosetta
But I can't find anywhere information about that - Is there some mistake? I never thought the Audio was Rosetta only before?
And especially, where would I get the Apple Silicon drivers?
Would be great to get an info here - Thanks a lot :)

@Tomboman We did change that! We realised there is no setting for our audio drivers to be put in Rosetta mode or Silicon native and that the soundcards were working as expected when used with Komplete Kontrol, Maschine and other DAWs running in Silicon native mode.
Our sound cards are plug & play, no need to install drivers, Intel or Silicon. Luckily, Apple didn't change how this part operates.
