ASIO 'process buffer' custom block size

Hey all, I have a Komplete Audio 6 Mk1 interface.
I use it with Reaper.
In Reaper there is a setting to 'request block size' from the ASIO driver.
However, the ASIO driver does not seem to respond to requests for a custom block size from Reaper, although it does respond to request for custom sample rate.
Interestingly, at 96khz sample rate, the NI ASIO driver control panel gives me the option of a 'process buffer' of size 384 samples. However, when the sample rate is set to 44.1 or 48khz, this option disappears and I can either choose 256 or 512.
It would be great if I could set 48khz sample rate and 384 samples buffer size, but it seems NI's ASIO driver won't allow this.
On the other hand, I can use ASIO4ALL with the Komplete Audio WDM drivers and set whatever size block size I like.
Am I right in thinking this is a limitation imposed by the coding of the ASIO driver and that there's essentially nothing I can do about it (other than use ASIO4ALL)?
I'm guessing the chances of any kind of support request being looked into for what is now an obsolete interface are just about zero.

I strongly advice you to keep your dedicated ASIO drivers instead of Asio4all + wdm just for achieve a non-standard buffer size.
256 is fine, 98% of the computers can handle it.
Reaper with follow whatever buffer your audio device has, i think there is no need to request anything.
