hardware issues with traktor s4 mk3

Hello all I am having issues with my hardware where after being connected to my laptop for 30mins or so not in use it will become unresponsive I also get sometimes which is embarrassing is the sound gets almost I would say corrupted makes horrible sounds while DJ then have to switch to different deck. If I restart it sorts the issues out but for only a sort time basically it is on its way out got it just over 3 years ago question is do i get another one or do I part ways with NI i feel like spending £800 again and it only lasting 3 years not great.

I read a lot of people had same issues got new ones and no issues.

what do I do? any advice

Are you using Windows? If so make sure you use the S4mk3 Asio driver. Not the default Wasapi driver.

To install the Asio Driver navigate to the Traktor folder and click the exe.

• C:\ > Programs > Native Instruments > Traktor Pro 3 > Drivers

It does sound like power saving on USB's is activated on some of ROOT HUB's. Which is Windows related issue.

On my cheap Yoga laptop I use for mapping and playlists the Wasapi driver does the same thing it will suddenly do the same thing. Bad sound and unresponsive software. But yes it could also be power issues.
