Having Trouble with Large Files in Sampler

One of the main reasons I just got Maschine Plus is it has unlimited sample lengths. I want to lay down my guitar tracks in the sampler and then experiment with adding beats and melodics.

The sampling part works great, but I want to able to control the playback (start, stop, set in points for playback, etc.) so I can easily manually edit or slice the files. All I can figure out how to do is push the corresponding pad which re-starts the playing samples.

Is there any way to have more control for editing. Hoping there is an easy answer that make me look stupid (won't be the first or last time).

Thanks in advance for your help --

Maschine isn’t the best tool in town regarding long audio files editing.

    But…

Take in consideration changing the sampler module into an audio module (more suited for long audio clips). And also using clips in the arranger instead of patterns.

If you want to continue working in the sampler, chopping the long audio sample into pieces (maybe divided into song parts, intro, chorus, verse,…)gives you a little more flexibility
