Problems downloading to ssd external drive Part 2

This is a follow on from a previous question about filling up my hard drive, and subsequently trying to load Kontakt instruments onto an external SSD drive. Here is the original post:

Having filled up my hard drive, I have started using a 1Tb SSD Hard Drive. I successfully installed Fracture Sounds Spotlight Piano and it works fine. But I then tried to install Icon Bass, but it doesn't appear in the library panel.

I created a directory on the Hard Drive, then separate location files for Download, Application, Content and VST 64. As far as I can see the VST 64 folder is still empty. I am obviously doing something that Native Access doesn't like, but don't know what! Does anyone have any suggestions?

I got good advice from Sunborn and Lost In Foundation, and tried to follow the advice. I tried clearing loads of files from the hard drive, then istalled Icon Bass - Session Bassist with Native Access, in its default locations, but got the message "insufficient hard drive space". I tried again, but putting the content/sample files onto the external SSD drive. The sample files did load, but nothing else has. Icon Bass is listed in Native Access as being installed, but it doesn't appear in the Library Window of Kontakt Player. So now what?

AN alternative: is there anyone with Kontakt / NativeAccess experience who lives near to me in Derby, in the middle of England who I could travel to for some hands-on help?

Well…we found why Icon Bass isn’t working for you: minimum requirement is Kontakt 7.1.8 (that’s why I asked you).

Therefore if you want to use it, you have to install Kontakt 7 player

External SSD had nothing to do with it (as I told you in the other thread you can install it on it)

Do you have Kontakt player 7.1.8 or newer?

Did you let the Kontakt player library build up? Even better if by opening at first Kontakt standalone

Did you check in Kontakt options if Icon bass is appearing in the Libraries tab? And its path folder under “Database”?

Thanks for replying. I am using Kontakt Player 6.7.1. Version 7 came out not longer after I had downloaded version 6, and there were some issues and bugs with Cantabile which I use for live playing, which is the majority of my work, so I held back from updating. I also don't know whether updating would replace version 6, or simply add version 7 alongside version 6 , so again I haven't updated because of disk space issues - hence my using the SSD external drive!

Session Bassist doesn't appear in the libraries tab, but the samples do appear in the "Samples" Folder on the external drive. It does appear in the "Files" tab on Kontakt Player, and also shows in the "Database" page on the "Options" page, but doesn't show in the associated "Libraries" page.

It seems like Session Bassist is almost there, but not quite!

Many Thanks, LostinFoundation. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond. Lets see what happens when I go for version 7.1.8!

Once again thanks for your input! I am now on the latest version of Kontakt Player 7, and everything works a treat!
