I have a Komplete A61 keyboard.

When I am in Logic Pro and I use the mod wheel it starts recording.

Can anyone help with where I could locate this issue and resolve it.

Thanks

Probably because they have assigned the same midi command... so you have to change it. Unfortunately i never used Logic so i can't help further but the usual rule is that Mod wheel works on the same command, in almost any instrument, so it Logic that should change its value for the record button.

Yeah but it doesn't do that normally so either the user has created a custom command inadvertently, or possibly they need to fix their midi settings in Logic. What are your midi in settings? Also check if mod wheel is mapped to transport by mistaken settings/controller assignments?

Definitely a wrong MIDI assignment in Logic, check for assignment to Modwheel or CC1. The most radical way is to reset Logic's preferences: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200260
