Controller not recognized

Hi,

I have a traktor kontrol s4 hw which I used to connect to my laptop Mac and it's not functioning anymore

My operating system is MacOs Mojave 10.14.6

I managed to download the software (Traktor DJ 2) but when I connect the hardware they do not talk to each other and the only light coming on on the hardware is the USB symbol on top of the MASTER
