Installing NI Products New Computer Magnifying Glass Locate Pre-existing Libraries
In this article about installing NI products on a new computer, in step 4 (NA light version) it says:
"Install your products from the Not Installed tab. If you have KONTAKT libraries on an external drive, you can locate them using the magnifying glass icon next to the INSTALL tab."
If you use the magnifying glass icon to locate your pre-existing libraries before installing your products, does this mean it will only install the product and not over-right the pre-existing libraries?
What is the point of locating your pre-existing libraries, when installing the products will over-right the pre-existing libraries?

You can either a) install libraries from scratch by downloading them again from scratch -OR- b) simply locate them in case you have them already installed on an external drive. By doing the latter way, nothing has to be downloaded and nothing gets installed.
In other words: If you have KONTAKT libraries on an external drive, you do not (need to) click on "Install". You click on "Locate" next to one, point the path to where the library in question is sitting on your drive and both Native Access and Kontakt will treat it as "Installed" then.

If you still have access to the files on your old system (and are on mac), you can follow these steps:

If not, you would need to relocate your Kontakt Libraries one by one by following these steps:

Treat that sentence as a little help tip.
If you have KONTAKT libraries already pre-installed on an external drive, then locating them just lets Native Access and Kontakt know that they are in that location. Nothing gets reinstalled, only paths get corrected.

But the photo shows the magnifying glass in the "Not Installed" section. Why would you select the location of pre-existing libraries when when you install it it will write over the top of the library?

Cheers, that makes sense, cause I was wondering how they were going to show up in Windows Programs and Features without being installed.
