VST Rosetta & Komplete Kontrol

Hallo,

In Camelot selbst passiert mir gleiches.

I'm a keyboardist and I'm using Camelot Pro on stage on an M1Pro Mac. Komplete Kontrol serves as "host" for my plugins from Native but also from Arturia, Modartt, Arturia etc.

I've often created Komplete Kontrol as a song track and during the scene changes I only send over a program change. This minimizes loading times and processor load.

Since the update to Ventura, my KK in silicon mode only runs with VST3. Only when I start it under Rosetta are the VST2 included, which I need for the program change.

The same thing happens to me in Camelot itself. All my plugins are displayed as offline if I start it natively, only with Rosetta translation is the VST version displayed again.

I absolutely need the VST2 version for my current live construct. Is it no longer supported with a silicon processor in native mode?

    Best regards and Happy Easter

Firstly, please post in English siunce this is an English forum.

Basic answer is, software and plugins for any Apple Silicon based system can only support VST3 as VST2 is now obselete and not updated by almost all developers for M1 machines so software cannot use the VST2 versions in native mode. This is not a NI issue, this is partly Steinberg for dropping VST2 support buy also Apple for making a new processor that requires software to be designed specifically to support

    You need to either:

    • Use Rosetta mode for VST2 compatibility
    • Update plugins to VST3 versions
    • Not use an Apple Silicon based system
