I already own Traktor 3 - Do I need to worry about the lic transfer if I buy a second hand s4 mk3?

I already have Traktor 3 and have been using an original S4 since it was released - but I upgraded my laptop to MacBook Pro M1 and so the OG S4 wont work any more. If I buy a second hand controller (NI) do I really need to worry about the lic transfer?

    You don't have to worry about it since you'll be able to use the software you have registered already.

    Obviously the "proper" way is still to register the hardware in your account via license transfer.
