Guitar Rig 6.3 Update Virus

Windows is flagging this as a Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml Virus. Does anyone have info on this. I currently have this quaranteened.

I am getting the same on Windows 10. The file "C:\Windows\Temp\Guitar_Rig_6_Installer\Guitar Rig 6 6.3.0 Setup PC.exe" was detected as "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml".

Native-Instruments: please fix this and post it here so we find your solution.

And: Why isn't there an email address or a phone number that I can contact you when I really need support?

I love the community, I love the how-to videos, but when it comes to an error, I end up clicking around for a long time and get to the same pages again and again. Finally I found a wizzard and answered several questions...

I have a case notification from N-I in my inbox, eventually. :-)

Got this as well, but it's likely a 'false positive'.

You could upload it to Virustotal and have it checked by other antivirus scanners, though.

same here,

on Windows 11 - 22H2

got the same message on Massive X installer and Maschine 2 update

was detected as "Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml

I am quite concerned. I hope that the NI team will let us know soon if they have found a solution, although I suppose it will be a false positive.
