    Hey,

for those of you who are interested. Here's the latest version of the intelligent Beat Generation ens I could build with your help.

It's a very basic version but still fun playing around with.

If you also own Maschine (Software) and a few NI Expansions, route "Beat Beast" to Maschine

and try different kits and play with the master iRandom button on top of "Beat Beast" :-)

I am also posting a JPG of what I'd love the ens to do.

Maybe someone has an idea or wants to work on it - feel free.

    Have fun!

For sample management, it sounds like you might get some mileage out of the table framework. Unfortunately, it's not an easy thing to get to grips with. Check out the manuals.

There was a thread on the old forum I posted a bunch of stuff to, but I'm not sure I want to get into that again here.

You can use archive.org to access the old forum and search for table framework related threads.

AI analyses beat :) lol good one 🤪 - joking aside, I'm sure this would be possible, just not completely in Reaktor, and extremely challenging. You would likely need to create the neural net (or whatever) in some other language, then get a LOT of training data, then implement a client for that in Reaktor that uses the net, and the data, but doesn't have the learning part built in. The net itself is just a fancy graph with weighted connections which would be possible in Reaktor for sure. Although I'm not sure there would be enough cpu for something complex enough to handle the things you want it to do... also compilation might become problematic with such a large graph structure. A few years of full time studying to find out one way or the other ;)

The drag n drop stuff sounds like DAW side stuff. Reaktor doesn't process MIDI files/songs/patterns

Swing/groove is definitely possible, you would probably need to build or find a clock with a swing control and use that instead of the standard midi clock

Sounds like a project I'd be interested in doing. Not so much the same thing though. I'd rather have an AI drummer that has a variety of starting rhythms that create some pattern of a song that you can pick up on and follow. Sort of a drum part arrangement for a song that doesn't exist. That would be something I could play along with. Rhythm is 99.9% of the music. Someone said look at what we've done with just 12 notes. It's really more like look what we've done with rhythms. Have fun, welcome to Reaktor!
