MIDI track playback issues
I have a session with only Komplete Kontrol (using the Komplete Kontrol 88 MKII) tracks.
Im experiencing some playback issues. Some tracks only play properly when it's selected. If I solo one track but another track is selected, that track does not play the full length of the note. If I select the track, then it plays properly.
When I play the whole project, some instruments/notes play intermittently.. Very annoying. I already did that "MIDI chase" setup in project MIDI settings.
Can anyone help?

Hi @Jeremy_NI
I accidentally figure out what’s going on.
My Logic processing threads was selected to maximum (10 cores). When I switched it back to Automatic, the session starts to play without any issues!
About that MIDI in/out setup on Komplete,
should I select all the ins and all the out ports that appear on the list? All the names refers to my S88 connected direct to my Mac. No hubs.

Hey @rogerbenet In what DAW is this happening? What is your operating system? What instruments are selected in your Komplete Kontrol tracks? Maybe a video here would help to see what's going wrong.

Hi Jeremy,
- Mac Studio M1
- MacOS Ventura
- Logic Pro X
- Komplete 14 Collectors Edition
I did some research and realize that I need to start my DAW in Rosetta mode. Now it seems to be working fine. Did you know if in a future Komplete update we will be able to run Logic natively?

Well, most of our products are now ARM natively compatible, as you can see in our article here: Apple Silicon Compatibility News
It's only Reaktor 6 now that's not yet fully compatible, although the current beta is: Reaktor 6.5.0: Beta phase has started
So I'm afraid it's not only a matter of Rosetta vs ARM native, unless you were using Reaktor presets?
In the project where the issue occured, what presets were loaded in Komplete Kontrol?

According to that list, I’m just using the the native compatible ones. Without Rosetta mode, that was a lot of playback issues on Komplete Kontrol. In Rosetta mode, the issue was solved instantly. I’ll make a video to show.
Do you think this issue can be related to macOS Ventura?

I don't think that could be related to Ventura, AFAIK there were no such issues reported, as I remember, there were only issues related to certain disk formats. So, it would be great to know what presets or what instruments were used when experiencing the issue, were these Kontakt libraries, Reaktor instruments?
If it was with Kontakt instruments, where are your Kontakt libraries installed, on an external hard drive? What format is that drive?

Im working on a session with only Symphony Series instruments like strings, percussion, wind, brass, etc.
I use an external SSD G Drive 4TB where all my libraries is located and the format is APFS.
Here is 2 videos. One running Logic natively (where the problem is) and another in Rosetta with no problems.

Hey @rogerbenet I4m terribly sorry for not having replied to the thread earmier, it's been a rough week. I saw that you created a new post about the issue with a new piece of information:
"I figured out that if I change the Komplete Kontrol instance by a Kontakt playing the same instrument, it plays perfectly ok!"
Now I'm wondering if this could be some kind of MIDI loop issue. If the keyboard is disconnected, do you have the same issue with the MIDI playback of Komplete Kontrol plug-ins tracks?
If you go in Komplete Kontrol in standalone and deselect all the MIDI outputs like here:
IF you do that, do you still have the issue when in Logic?
When you say that when you replace a Komplete Kontrol track by a Kontakt track, did you change the MIDI channel of the Kontakt instrument?
If nothing helps here I'll forward this to a Komplete Kontrol support specialist as it's too tricky to address here.

Oh! Great to hear you found a fix to this issue. If everything works now, you can forget all the rest. You don't need the output ports, you can leave everything unticked.

What about all that input ports?
need to tick it all?

That would be Input 1 and 2, yes you can tick those.
