P.locks macros work but don't show up on the step sequencer like on internal tracks

So I'm using a midi template for the hydrasynth. I can p.lock (record) the macros per step but they don't show up like they do in the internal tracks and they are basically useless like this because you can't see what you're doing.

I can only see that there is an automation recorded and that's weird, because the Maschine is already capable of showing automations per step.

How NI can be so inconsistent is beyond me. Like if the impossibility to map midi ccs directly on the maschine+ was not enough. L O L.
