Kontakt 7 not showing all nki file instruments via the Library view patches list.

For example, I have Albion IV. First I noticed that Kontakt 7 doesn't get the "Banks" right many times. Second I discovered that some nki files do not appear in the list of patches when Albion IV is selected from the Library.

For example, in the Albion IV "Instruments" folder there is a "Stephenson's Steam DNA" folder which contains a file called "Warps.nki", but that patch does not show up in the patches list of the "Earth" bank (there should be other "Banks" but there are not).

@lahatte Sometimes third party libraries have specific installation instructions. I suspect that Albion IV being a little older, the preset indexing might not translate well with the new browser of Kontakt 7. If it's the only library where you have this issue I would recommend to reinstall it and contact their support as they will know more about this product specifics.

I don't have this library to test at hand but maybe this warp nki would show in other sections than the "Earth" one?

Have you checked in the old browser of Kontakt 7?

Since it's a 3rd party library, have you checked the manual, Spifire's resources and their support? Or do you have any other nki files missing from other libraries?

Check the manual? For what? It's just an nki file like the others, right? How is there a file there that isn't acknowledged by Kontakt and shown in the list of files? Isn't Kontakt just reading the files and folders from the drive? Does Kontakt call a folder on the drive a "Bank"? If so, I can't imagine how it would miss files that are in a folder on the drive.

Or, are "Banks" and the list of patches defined elsewhere by the developer, and stored in one of those cryptic binary files associated with the library, which can only be created and/or modified after paying NI for the privilege?

See those other 'patches' that are showing in the Kontakt patch list? Those are found in that folder that you can see in my image of the Windows Explorer folder. What is Kontakt considering those to be, given that they are in a subfolder?

I notice that the Albion I structure in Kontakt is more complete, but also not like the folders that are on my drive. So I am now assuming that this info must be metadata provided by the library creator. Correct?
