I've had Komplete for just over a week and have been using it to sample sounds from a keyboard I'm replacing with a VST-based controller. I processed all of the samples and created instruments with the sub-directory of samples on a laptop with an M1 Chip running Monterey.
When that process was complete, I copied all of the files into an equivalent directory on my new performance rig (a mac mini M2, which came with Ventura). Everything worked, except the volume within Kontakt was too low. So I attempted to open one of the instruments to bump up the volume. When I tried to re-save the edited instrument it immediately complained about missing sample files. When I checked the sample sub-directory 2 files with the correct c1 and c1# names were there, but had zero bytes.
I deleted the samples to those two keys and dragged the original sample files back over and tried to save again and the same thing happened. Before saving I also noticed that the C note was playing the same tone as the c# sample - which didn't match the sample sound. I tried a few more times on the ventura machine, but the same thing always happens.
I went back to my laptop with the M1 and working the same instrument/samples it doesn't have this problem and I can always re-save with just the warning about overwriting existing files.
I understand that ventura support is really recent in Kontakt, and maybe there are some bugs to still be worked out, but wanted to report it and see if others have had a similar problem? Ideally I wouldn't be using ventura, but Apple didn't give an option when ordering new hardware. I'm wondering if I should try downgrading the new machine if that's even possible
