Run your DAW in Rosetta Mode and everything is fine. It seems like NI haven't really customized Kontakt.
Kontakt is ported natively to Apple Silicon, if you have latest version.

According to the experts on this forum you might be running out of RAM! Maybe upgrade to 128GB :)
Support has also stopped answering this question because it seems to pop up too often.

It happens also on Win, from time to time. Some kind of memory leaks. It happens...
Please post some screenshots from Expert->Engine tab and system resource monitor.

Does it happen every time you open a Kontakt instrument? And do the samples unload?
It does not happen me every time, but several times has happened to me that it took so much memory that Windows almost stopped work.... I had to use hard reset, Wins were so sluggish that did not react to mouse or keyboard... Well, they did, but with many seconds delay....
I have 64 GB RAM, pretty fast NVMe SSDs, pretty fast CPU...
