Komplete Kontrol A49 Knobs Only Alter Project Volume?

I have an A49, and it functions inside Cubase 13 perfectly fine except for the fact the knobs seem to be set so they edit each instrument's volume?
For example, knob 1 edits instrument 1, knob 2 instrument 2, and so on.
How do I get my A49 to send normal MIDI signals through the knobs. Or, how do I customize the keyboard so it may do exactly as I want it to do?

Switch it to MIDI mode pressing the MIDI button (plugin/midi switch button)?
May pay to bone up on the way it works in the manual. You have the "control" mode (which is what you are experiencing where the keyboard is auto mapped to control the DAW) then you have good ole MIDI mode that switches to standard MIDI and allows you to map the 8 knobs to whatever you like. You can create MIDI templates with page banks to allow more controls as well as key splits. Will have to refer to the manual on all of that as that is about the limit of what I CBF to explain.0 -
