in Komplete General

whenever i load GR 7, i get crackling. Ive read the first 25 pages of manual but need clarification. CPU and sidechaining in manual. So, ive been loading NI into midi track, then GR 7. To sidechain, i load GR 7 into the bottom space where it says "drop/drag effects here?" Sidechaining should fix the crackling? Also, lowering the input will redece crackling, but which input do i turn down, the top one in the header, or the input in the Rack,? How do i reduce CPU? My meter in upper right hits way over 100%. How do i reduce CPU and sidechain correctly?

    Do you mean a cracking due to distortion, or is it an audio interface problem? What's your PC spec (OS, CPU, memory) and which DAW are you using? Also, you say you've added NI into a track then GR7. Is the track an instrument like a piano/synth? And another .. what are you using the sidechaining for?

    Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get an idea of what you're trying to do :)

    Crackling, not dist. Hit a note, loud crackle that disrupts the sound. Interface works - all vsts, plugins. Using Ableton Lite. Using Session Guitar Sunburst, electriv. Im side chaining only trying to divert the crackling problem

    It sounds like your interface needs a higher buffer size. What's the interface and what buffer size is the ASIO driver using?

    Side chaining is generally for ducking one sound based on another like dropping a bass to let a kick though the mix more. It won't help audio distortion.

    Somehow, its working great. I disconnected a 4k monitor and went one higher than 48000. I think it reduced the pressure onCPU. i also uninstalled abot 7gigs of stuff i wasnt using. I think increasing that speed did the most though. I luv GTR PRO. Every plugin i use sounds soooo good. Bass, gtr, pno... Tomorrow, she probably wont work
