How to switch and record patters at Session Strings 2

How can I switch and record patterns at Session Strings 2 rhythm indicator? I noticed there is a MIDI CC automation learn function if you right-click on the pattern section. But I can't allocate keys or anything else to the patterns.

    I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but the automation learn function is there to allow you to assign different MIDI assignments from you controller to the controls in the interface. This would be how you'd use different keyboard controls to switch between the listed patterns.

    Generally speaking the patterns respond to the keys you're playing on your keyboard as the basis for how the pattern is played. Under each step in the pattern you see a control that looks like 3 circles on top of each other. If it's on, it plays the entire chord based on the rhythm and level shown in the pattern. If it's off it plays the sequence of notes in the chord being played based on the Order selected by clicking on the Order button.

    Thank you for your reply. That's what I tried but it doesn't work. I activated the MIDI learn function and played (I don't know) something like C6 / C7 to add that to Stacc 1 A. But the pattern (or how it is called) is still at "C-2". Have I done anything wrong? Is there a video tutorial about that I couldn't find right now?

    I can't verify right now, but if C6 and C7 are already mapped to a note it probably wouldn't assign it. Normally when you map something it will be a button on your controller not a note unless it's unassigned to the instrument.

    The documentation for Session Strings 2 is located in the Documentation folder wherever you installed Session Strings 2

    I don't understand that at all. The left-hand side shows that the patterns go from C2 to F. But C2 to F are already filled with notes. How can I set it so that I can change the patterns with my MIDI controller? I've already tried others (the pads or whatever they're called on the Launchkey). But it didn't take that.
