Dragging one shot onto an audio track problem

in Komplete Kontrol

Greetings! I'm following this blog's tutorial How to make a tropical house track… and I'm stuck here

In Komplete Kontrol click the One-shots icon to display all available one-shot samples. Enter ‘cymbal gardens’ into the text search field and drag Cymbal Gardens 1 onto an audio track.

I do see Cymbal Gardens 1, but I can't drag it to the track. It's not dragable. (

Please advise.

    Your tutorial references the much more mature (and better equipped) Komplete Kontrol v2.9.6 - which allows drag and drop for samples and loops.

    Your screencap on the other hand is using Komplete Kontrol v3 - which does not allow drag and drop.

    Many have been asking for this for a long while, but it appears it is no closer to becoming a reality.

    Thanks for your quick response. So what should I do? Should I right click, "Show in Finder" and then drag a file from a folder in a track? It works this way, however I'm afraid that when I will edit this file, I will edit not the instance of it but the original. Please advise.

    If you concerned about trashing the original - copy the file to some directory like Downloads and use them from there.
