The .dll is not installed so Ableton can't open KONTAKT8 (standalone version works)
I Installed Native Acces and Kontakt 8. It runs normally as a standalone version, but I can't find it in my DAW (ableton). When I Installed the software, a Kontakt 8 folder was created in my VSTPlugins folder but it just has the Kontakt logo and a documentation folder, but not any .dll or anything. Despite that, as I was saying the standalone versione does work

Kontakt 8 does not come as a dll , it only comes as VST3 (and AU , AAX) which is not dll type but VST3 type.
You might have to set you Ableton Live to scan for VST3 at the default location :

Kontakt 8 is a VST3 only. There will not be a .dll file and it will not create a folder.
If you are on Windows - only a single Kontakt8.vst3 will be present in this folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
If you do not see the plugin within Ableton - then Ableton is not setup to scan your VST3 folder.
