I just purchased this from NI for $179 and received right away an email from Cinesamples offering this same plug in for $104. Anyone experience this? I am in contact with NI and have not received an answer yet.

    Hello,

It is just…. business! As with any product.

Plugin Boutique offers it for 153

Cinesamples offers it to me 118 euro, quiet more expensive that it offers it to you.

Best Service offers it for 149

Why they offer it cheaper? Usually because it is an old product and they want to get whatever they can from it, before it became obsolete.

Also because, smaller companies need funds for further development while N.I. as a major company doesn't care that much. They have funds, so they do not need to offer a discount. But smaller companies are depending on this, so they make tempting offers, to make you buy from them.

It is exactly the same when you go to the big market and you buy your apples for 10 euro, but in the next corner there is this small grocery shop that offers even better quality apples for 5 euro (yet, most people continue to go to the big market)! Simply said, it is… capitalism.

What you can do, is to make a better search and explore all your options, before you buy anything!

Thanks so much for the response! I am pretty new to production and haven't purchased a lot of downloads yet. I will shop around next time.
