kontakt player in daw wont update

in Kontakt

Hi, I downloaded sessions guitar electric mint, The Ni app recognizes the new instrument but on logic it dosent show up in the instrument library. ive tried a few things updates on mac, native acsess 2, kontakt 8. does any one no what might be going wrong i cant work it out. i have many instruments from ni and 3rd party instrtuments that use kontakt and i never had this issue

    Does Mint show up in Kontakt standalone? That's the first place to check. If it shows up standalone, check that the version of Kontakt that's being loaded in Logic is the latest version (8.3.0)

    it shows up in the standalone kontakt. how do i check what kontakt version logic is running ? thanks myke

    Click on the 'N' in the top righthand corner of the Kontakt window. That should show you the about box and the version number. Pretty sure that works inside Logic, but I don't have that installed on the laptop I'm on to check it sorry.

    ok so my kontakt player on logic is old! i went on to plugin manager and it says kontakt 8.3 is downloaded but when i load kontakt and click the NI logo it says its running on 6 do you no i update the player within logic ?

    @ridmomusiq In Logic, Kontakt 6 will just show as Kontakt, without any version.

    Make sure you open Kontakt 8 and not Kontakt 6, this way you should see all the Kontakt libraries, even the latest ones:
