Use Maschine in Komplete Kontrol

instead of supporting other manufacturers like akai and Novation it would be better to enable Maschine MK3 / Maschine+ as Komplete Kontrol Controllers. It has the advantage that we could browse in Komplete Kontrol, see the display like on mk2 keyboards and can combine all functions with an external keyboard or Ableton push.
Komplete Kontrol is slicker than Maschine Software and the main advantage would be daw automation, that doesn’t work in Maschine software.

Sorry but I would like to suggest this never happens. Loading KK up with more bloat is not something many of us want. Maschine works with Maschine and supports NKS and has all the features needed for the Maschine controller, adding all that into KK when it was already proven by NI themselves that not enough people seem to own a KK keyboard and Maschine enough to even add support for the MK3 keyboard into Maschine means adding Maschine support to KK would be a bit of a waste of resources and likely make KK even more unstable and bloated than it has already become.

Komplete Kontrol is such a ****** mess, that I would never buy this new keyboard even for 100€

I am happy that I sold my mk2 keyboard just in time. I was an early adopter of kore, Maschine and Komplete Kontrol mk1. And it first worked fine until 2.9 with extreme long loading to open the plugin.

But the current state with major 3 of the software is their total disaster, and a big step backward. I think backward is the wrong wording, when even kore was working fluent, compared to the actual development.

Most problems are known since 2023 and now in 2025 almost nothing has happened or has been fixed.

At first you can’t access your old projects, because there is no VST2 - why not make a major 2.0 update, and use them parallel like Maschine 2 and 3, instead of frustrating old users who can’t open or edit their old projects anymore. Yes there is workaround, but very frustrating and disappointing. They should care about. Instead the ****** up kontakt, that you can’t open old projects under kontakt 7.6 because they have changed libraries that they don’t open with old version again.

Even Komplete Kontrol 3.41 takes one minute to open the damn host plugin, if you have many plugins. There was a fix for Kontakt 7, but would be welcome for Maschine 3 and Komplete Kontrol also…..

If you want to open plugins in Komplete Kontrol the slow loading times are ongoin, and it is total slow openeing even slim plugins that open in daw in a second are taking much time in this host. Also NKS presets with slick synths take much time to open.

That is no Flow - but maybe the opposite.

I downgraded to 2.8 and it was so much much faster, opening these presets and also plugins.

It was comparable to DAW loading time, so what has happened in V3 ?????

A lot of plugins don’t work in 3.4 or don’t display in scale and are unusable. There was a solution in standalone to override high scaling dpi, but it’s not working in Ableton. So many synths like Tone2, new Korg like Arp2600, UVi Falcon are only working in standalone, where I never use them. In Ableton i see only a quarter of the GUI display.

lot of freelance third party NKS are not working anymore, but Jason is selling updrades for half prizes, or has removed them.

So many problems and an angry userbase, so why not try to spread the rotten mess with enabling Maschine as preset browser, before NKS is dead ?

To give this current disaster an other chance, I would like to browse it with my Maschine mk3, selecting sounds and play it with my HW Synth keyboard. Komplete Kontrol MK3 is total waste of studio space

"proven by NI themselves that not enough people seem to own a KK keyboard and Maschine enough to even add support for the MK3 keyboard"… Even if you didnt own a Maschine hardware unit (which i do) it still made sense to add its integration into the MK3 Kontrol. There are so many times i did want to use the maschine unit. Use the Kontrol as a maschine for keys and the knobs. I still think they dont want to cross pollenate platforms.

Well they stated when the MK3 was released and the first (of many issues and missing features from past generations) was no Maschine integration which was stated, to paraphrase: "our metrics told us that not enough people use the Maschine integration so we decided not to add support for our own products anymore…" I guess those that use Maschine just don't have a need for a KK style keyboard and many who purchase the keyboard have no need for Maschine.

Some think Maschine is being killed off so why waste resources, others feel the NI development team is a shell of what it was and just can't apply themselves enough to manage the features… Could just be how the market goes, I mean if 10 years doesn't generate interest enough.
