Komplete Kontrol A61 Power on/off?

Is it okay to leave the Komplete Kontrol A61 keyboard plugged in all the time? The led's and display are on even when my Mac goes to sleep. Is this okay, or should it be unplugged when not using it? I can't find a way to power it off and I'd prefer not to have to unplug it.

Also agree, that’s it’s just lazy R&D. I ended up buying a USB power switch. Thanks for your advice.

There are inline USB power switches available, like:

    this one on Amazon

There's plenty more of those, the switch need to be data+power on/off, not just power on/off.

Thanks for your response. I have seen these actually. Just wondering if there was an official word from NI about leaving plugged into power or what they recommend?

I used to leave my Novation Launchkey Mk3 powered on all the time, as it didn’t have power switch either, there was no issues. Best to ask NI directly, I guess.

You will probably find if you leave it on the OLED screen will just burn out. Many reports of users who have had that little screen just burn out characters due to being left on.

You would think that if there was no power switch the keyboard would have an auto off feature or something, at least that would have been the smart thing to do…

I agree 100%. Lack of power button on cheaper midi controllers is something that I find completely counter customer and, to be honest, silly way of cutting the costs for manufacturers.
