Can't import presets
When I import a preset, it doesn't appear in the preset browser (where the red arrow is pointing). The preset .ngrr file does seem to have moved successfully to the Rack Presets folder in my C drive. But I can't see the preset in the software. I've tried resetting the library and this didn't work. How do I solve this?

Ah. That could be the reason. I believe the free version does not allow import.
Don’t quote me but that version has a number of key restrictions.

I tried rescan and it also didn't work.

And you are doing this in standalone mode? (File→Prefs→Library→Scan)
When I click this button - I see a number of dialogs flash by "Importing Presets" etc.
And what version of GR are these presets? V6? Or something else

Yes I'm working in standalone mode (Guitar Rig 7, free version). I'm not sure what the preset version is, I've downloaded it from online.
I'm new to Guitar Rig 7 and haven't imported a preset before, is there a custom preset I can try importing to check if it's a problem with this preset?

I just created my own preset. I then deleted it and imported it again, so the import function works. Is it possibly because the preset is from an incompatible version of Guitar Rig? Maybe a paid version?

Very well could be. Can't imagine NI giving out a "free" version of GR and then allowing it to import every preset out there - that sounds like a very desirable paid feature to me.
AND - each version of GR over the last 3-4 versions contain different FX, amp combos etc - there is no guarantee of 100% backward compatibility with say - importing a GR4 present into v7.
Who knows what might be missing or different between those versions.
