K7 in LP: K7 won't play what's in piano roll

Aloha from a cold and wet O'ahu,

Strange behavior using K7 in Logic Pro (latest update).

K7 will play midi in the piano roll that is recorded in.

But if midi notes are entered by hand (step recording), or midi from an adjacent track is moved onto the K7 track, K7 will not play the notes.

If I play the notes on the LP keyboard in the piano roll, the notes play.

Again, if I record in the notes from my midi keyboard, they play.

But if I write in notes, I get silence.

Can anyone help?

Mahalo!

Assuming it's the same MIDI track with previously recorded MIDI that you're entering notes? Otherwise you'd have to make sure you have all the connections to your plugin are defined correctly especially the MIDI out and playback from KONTAKT. If it's in the same track as previously recorded MIDI I'd check the velocities on the notes you hand entered.
