    hey there guys

trying to work out if everything I use will work ok in Monterey. I see the list of everything that WILL work but is there a list of everything that WILL NOT work?

I just get confused when it says Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt will work.....but does that include the contained instruments? like Pharlight? or Ethereal Earth? or Kinetic Metal? I have Komplete 13 bt I want to know if anything in 13 will not work?

    thanks

I have the full version on Kontact Komplete Collectors Edition, this is all the software.

It would be much easier to see a list of apps, plugins and hardware that are not compatible with macOS 12, (released October 2021 GA). A list via Intel & M1 to include the ones that may not have been tested, nor supported yet.

12.4 is no GA, and Beta 12.5 is already out too.

Do you have this list you can share with us?

    Thank you!

The problem here is there's a difference between 'will work' and 'supported'. My limited experience is most things (K13 and Maschine) work on Monterey and M1, but are not necessarily supported if they go wrong. Building a 'won't work' list is a challenge!

    ah right thanks...

I'm guessing M1 is a little further behind than Monterey on Intel? (I'm intel based at the mo)

think I'm just going to go for it! I had to hold off on Big Sur and stay on Catalina because of a different program I use and then when I could, Monterey was out!

Do you know that if it says Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt works, that includes the instruments hosted within said player? (like pharlight or ethereal earth for example?)

Blows my mind that Guitar rig is still not supported for Monterey. I have a new computer coming and will be sad to delete guitar rig from my template.

@renderic @NNYz? Well, that would be your list of not officially supported on Monterey: Guitar Rig 6, Reaktor 6 and FM8.

And @NNYz? yes, Kontakt being supported means all current Kontakt libraries.

Even if Guitar Rig 6 is not officially supported on Monterey, it seems to work for most users.

Since upgrading to Monterey 12.4 3 days ago my S4mk3 has gone nuts. The jog wheels spin out in TT mode when scratching/cueing etc 🤷‍♂️

You should post that in the Traktor section of the forum or contact our Traktor specialists here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_Traktor

Hey everyone - So I have first generation Maschine hardware, and since getting new MacBook Pro / Monterey V 12.2, the software of Maschine 2 loads fine but the hardware lights go on for a second and then dark. I checked the compatibility page and only see the below as compatible.

Does that mean the original Maschine hardware isn't expected to be supported? If it is, how do I get it to work properly? I've tried restarting a few times and don't see any drivers to update on native access. This is driving me crazy!!!

    MASCHINE+

    MASCHINE MK2 / MK3

    MASCHINE MIKRO MK2 / MK3

    MASCHINE JAM

    MASCHINE STUDIO

Be prepared to be told to buy a PC. That’s the usual answer for all Mac problems around here 🤣

We’ll that would suck. Based on compatibility link, I don’t think the first maschine hardware is supported and no plans to do so either. Would be great to get confirmation but looks like I might be screwed :(

@Jeremy_NI - Any thoughts on above? Thanks

Just didappointed altogether with purchasing NI gear from the get go.

i buy the maschine mk3 and can't use every sound and library that came with it due to mac os system incompatsbility.

so i figure i'll go buy the top of the line new M1 mac thinking there would be no issues considering the sustem is brand new and right out of the box the gear is incompatible.🤦‍♂️

i chose NI for a reason and now o'm trying to rember what that reason is. i have a $700 beat making machine and a dj deck that won't operate on my system natively without running some PC translation software in the background.

wake me up in a year when you all have figured this out. what a shame.
